The ancient hospital from Hippocrates is the biggest archaeological site on the island of Kos, dedicated to Asclepius, god of healing. It is situated about 4 km from the center. Beside the historical interest , there is also a wonderful view across the town of Kos and the coastline of Turkey.

A festival held every year in August with theater, concerts, flower show, folk art and a presentation of the Hippocratic Oath.
